Compatible with Your AMS Respirator

• AMS A400 — attaches to the side filter connection.
• AMS A640 — attaches to the front filter connection.
• AMS A700 — attaches to the front filter connection.

Uses a 40mm threaded connection for installation on these compatible AMS models. Check your mask model and connection before ordering. A 40mm connection alone does not establish compatibility with other respirators.

Choose Your Filter Option

Organic Vapor — Red/Brown Label
Intended for certain organic vapors. Check the filter’s specified chemical coverage against the substances present in your workplace.

Acid Gas — Yellow Label
Intended for certain acid gases. Confirm coverage for the specific gas before use.

Ammonia — Green Label
Intended for ammonia applications, subject to the filter’s instructions and use limitations.

Each option is sold separately. These are different filter types, not interchangeable color choices. Select by the filter label and documented chemical coverage, rather than color alone.

Replacing Your Filter

1. Move to a clean, uncontaminated area before removing the used filter.
2. Check the new filter, mask connection and sealing surfaces for damage. Remove the filter’s transport caps or seals as instructed.
3. Align the threads and screw the filter onto the designated filter connection by hand. Avoid cross-threading and follow the respirator’s installation instructions.
4. Put on the respirator, adjust the straps and perform the user seal check described in the mask instructions before every use.

When Should You Replace It?

Follow an established cartridge change schedule based on the contaminant, exposure conditions and manufacturer guidance. Service life varies with concentration, humidity, breathing rate and storage conditions. Do not rely on smell alone to decide when to replace a gas/vapor filter.

Important Use Information

• Use only with a compatible respirator and a filter selected for the identified contaminants and exposure conditions.
• This filter does not supply oxygen. Do not use in oxygen-deficient atmospheres, unknown contaminant conditions, or environments immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH).
• Gas/vapor coverage does not automatically include protection against dust, mist or other particles. Confirm any required particulate protection separately.
• A secure face seal is essential. Facial hair must not interfere with the sealing surface. Follow applicable fit-testing requirements.
• Read and follow the instructions supplied with both the respirator and the filter before use.
