Compatibility

Designed for the AMS Respirator and other AMS reusable respirators that use the same dual-filter connection.

Installation

1. Inspect the respirator and both filters for damage before use.
2. Align the filter connector with the respirator’s side port.
3. Insert and twist the filter until securely locked.
4. Repeat on the opposite side.
5. Perform the required user seal check before entering the work area.

When Should the Filters Be Replaced?

Leave the contaminated area and replace both filters if:

• The filters become damaged, wet, heavily soiled or deformed.
• Breathing resistance noticeably increases.
• You notice an unusual smell, taste or irritation.
• The filters reach the replacement interval required by AMS or your workplace respiratory protection program.

Do not wash, vacuum, clean with compressed air or attempt to repair used filters. Replace both filters at the same time.

• Do not use in immediately dangerous to life or health conditions.
• Do not use when contaminant identity or concentration is unknown.
• Not intended for sandblasting.
• Nuisance organic vapor odor relief applies only to concentrations below applicable occupational exposure limits.
• These filters are not a substitute for an appropriate gas or vapor cartridge.
• Do not use the filters alone for paint spraying or hazardous vapor exposure. Select the correct AMS cartridge and filter configuration for the identified hazard.
• Occupational users must follow applicable respiratory protection requirements, including hazard assessment, medical evaluation, training and fit testing.
